Recall alert: Calphalon XL 9 speed blenders may pose injury Oct 31st 2013, 21:54, by By Heather McPherson, Food Editor Calphalon is recallin more than 20,000 XL 9 speed blenders because of possible injury hazard. A piece of the blender’s mixing blade unit can break off during use. The recall involves model 1832449, also identified as model ME600BL. The model number is located on the underside of the blender’s base. Calphalon has received four reports of a piece of the blender’s mixing blade breaking off. No injuries have been reported.
