Allison Weldon, 25, a line cook at the Ravenous Pig in Winter Park, is the Southeast regional winner in the national “2013 Best Young Chef” competition sponsored by the Confrérié de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. On June 8, she will compete against nine other regional winners from throughout the U.S. and the Hawaiian and Caribbean Islands for top honors in the national finals at Chicago’s Kendall College, one of the country’s top culinary school.
