Klaus Friedenreich, chef-instructor at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Orlando, consultant/educator Jeffrey A. Rotz with Chefs Helping Chefs in Eustis and the American Culinary Federation Central Florida Chapter were honored at the 2013 ACF Southeast Regional Conference at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, Louisville, Ky., March 1-4. Friedenreich was awarded the Hermann G. Rusch Chef's Achievement Award. The Central Florida chapter of ACF was given an achievement award. And Rotz earned two distinctions: The American Academy of Chefs regional Service Award and a regional President's Medallion.
The ACF is the largest association of professional culinarians in North America. More than 25 chefs, students and chapters were honored at the conference. Many of these winners will compete against their regional counterparts at the 2013 ACF National Convention in Las Vegas, July 21-25.
